We totally lucked out and got a call at 8 am Sunday morning asking us to attend the last day of the rodeo. My sister and brother-in-law’s neighbors gave them some sweet tickets, and we were the chosen ones! Sixth row parking…the only way to do it.
We skipped the carnies and went in to the livestock show, which was winding down since it was the last day, but we still got to see some pretty steers.
We strapped in for almost three hours of the Super Shootout: North America’s Champions rodeo. There was bareback riding, bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, the calf scramble, chuck wagon races, and my personal favorite, mutton’ bustin.
This cowgirl (below) made $84,000 in two days!
And finally, we saw Alan Jackson perform.
It was a great way to spend the last day of my spring break! Can’t wait till next year. If you went, who was your favorite performer this year?
