Today we went to the Bayou City Art Festival in Memorial Park. While it was very different from the Westheimer Arts Festival that I went to when I was younger (they used to shut down Westheimer and there were total weirdos everywhere!), the reborn Bayou City Art Festival was pretty cool. Good people watching and 300 artists from all over the place. We found one booth that was in our price range, and his paintings really stood out, so we bought two! Check out Chris Hartsfield’s website here. My painting is a silver bowl of strawberries, and E bought an Auburn National Championship painting.
Perfect weather and beautiful art! And over the years, the festivals have raised over $2.7 million for nonprofit organizations. That’s worth the $12 ticket. How did you spend your Saturday?
