Eat Pastry’s gluten-free chocolate chip cookie dough wins the prize for Whole Food’s Product of the Week! I’d give them the prize for the cute tub alone, but that’s not what this is about. Okay, the dough is in a tub, so you can make as little or as many as you want at a time. Good for people who need dessert, but lack self control. The dough is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, cholesterol free, and free of artificial flavors and hydrogenated oils. But are they good?
It has the best texture of any gluten-free cookie I’ve found. Crispy on the outside, gooey inside. I’d be lying if I said the taste isn’t a tiny bit off. But sometimes, you need a cookie, and you don’t feel like bringing out all the ingredients and doing the dishes after. If you eat a vegan diet, they’ll probably taste perfect.
