Since we got to Rice Village just a short time before the stores opened, we decided to get a little morning snack at Croissant Brioche. An almond chocolate croissant and a café mocha is the best fuel for an important shopping trip.
I’m probably going to get in trouble for posting these pics, but they are so darn cute, I just can’t resist!! Everyone loves a baby bump, right? My sister finally let me come with her to do some maternity clothes shopping, so we could pick out some shower outfits.
There might have been a fake bump in the dressing room, and I might have worn it for moral support (and fun).
News flash! If you spend enough at A Pea in the Pod, you get a free baby carrier!
Next stop was brunch at Backstreet Cafe. It’s the most adorable old house in River Oaks, the service is great, their patio is dog friendly, and they offer tons of gluten free and vegetarian options. The perfect place to go on Sister Sunday!
We sat in the sun room and had a view of the patio. It was pretty chilly outside, but if you’re wanting to sit on the patio, just wear your fur, dahhling.
What a fun day! I can’t wait to do it again (with a little one in tow!). How did you spend your Sunday?
