Dinner in Dallas | The Porch

While I was in town, my experienced Dallas friend, Hollywood, was sweet enough to pick me up and take me to a popular dinner spot. We went to “The Porch…Downhome Food & Uptown Cocktails.” Being the thoughtful person she is, she picked out a place with lots of gluten-free options and tasty cocktails. Perfect.

{The Porch} does have a heated porch for those frigid Dallas days, but I was totally over being outdoors.

Inside, the space is fun and upbeat. We both started off with the tart, but not too sweet, Blood Orange Margarita…with salt, which I appreciated since most restaurants put sugar on the rim for anything other than a traditional margarita.

Our server even guessed our initials!

Hollywood had the Crab Cake Salad. Doesn’t that avocado look amazing?

And I had the Smoked Brisket Enchiladas. The meat was fantastic. I’m not typically a red sauce enchilada fan, but it was delicious with the flavor of the brisket.

We had the feeling our server was ready for us to leave because instead of asking if we would like another drink, he brought the check. Well, we weren’t quite finished, so we took the party back to the hotel lobby…or Bob’s Steak & Chop House to be exact.

And with that Marbled Chocolate and Amaretto Cheesecake, our night was complete!
