A Joyful Easter

For the first time in 13 years, I was excited about celebrating Easter! You can read the backstory {here}.

E and I went to church, and then we had brunch at the Manor House….where our rehearsal dinner will be!

{Jumbo lump crab frittata, spinach, fontina fonduta, piquillo coulis}

{Crawfish eggs benedict, buttermilk biscuit, andouille hollandaise}

{Pan seared beef tenderloin, pulled short rib, fava and fingerling fricassee}

{Dulcey mont blanc, Valrhona dulcey, almond meringue, coffee cream, apricot compote} Out of this world.

{Vanilla creme brulee, amaretti, maple pecans, alfajores, chocolate crackle, lemon cookies}

After brunch, we headed over to see my new little nephew, Daniel. It’s really incredible how having a new Daniel around (and mainly him being the cutest baby ever) has completely transformed our sad hearts into joyful hearts. The little guy was supposed to be born just yesterday, so pardon the baggy outfit. Now be prepared…you’re in for a lot of baby pics!

Beautiful proof of God’s plan. How did you celebrate Easter?
