Weekend Recap {Brunch @ Hugo’s}

I had a much-needed, incredibly relaxing weekend. On Saturday, I Iiterally lounged all day, minus a quick trip to the book store. And on Sunday, E treated me to a special brunch!

Hugo’s is awesome. We had been wanting to go for at least six months, and we finally had a free weekend. They have a huge brunch buffet and only two items weren’t gluten free! There were lots of Mexican dishes with eggs incorporated in them, lunch options, outrageous guacamole, and the lamb shanks were my absolute favorite.

Oh yeah…and my brunch cocktail was pretty incredible as well!

The abundant dessert table was almost as fun to look at as it was to eat the yummy creations. There’s a large cauldron of hot chocolate that seemed to be a big hit.  If you’re eating gluten free, they have rice pudding, flan and fruit for you. All delicious.  And I’m sort of in love with that blue table cloth.

After brunch, we rolled ourselves outta there and headed over to {The Menil Collection} for a little culture. If you’re in the area, the Byzantine Things in the World exhibit was really cool.

After that, we made our way home and I napped the afternoon away snuggled up with my sweet boxer girl. How was your weekend?
