C + E | Welcome {to Houston} Bags

Now that the wedding is over, I can share photos of our welcome bags! Keep in mind, these were the last puppies planned + executed, so we were all pretty exhausted and tired of spending money at this point. A special thanks to my mom for driving around this crazy city to pick up the last-minute items!

My mom snagged that heart stamp at Hobby Lobby, and I loved it on the kraft paper bags. The Houstonian (our reception site) is known for its trees, and I thought it was the perfect touch to add our initials inside the heart!

We also included some bottles of water…because who doesn’t want that when they stay in a hotel? I wrapped the custom wedding totes in a bow because they didn’t have a flat bottom. Many of our guests’ invitations came back to us, so I thought including a little itinerary might be helpful. Aren’t those striped heart bags amaze? I stalked the 100 Layer Cake Pop-Up Shop for months! They were originally sold out when I first found them, but they later brought them back. I know I always need bandaids from wedding shoes + dancing, and Tylenol always comes in handy the next morning! That fab glitter tape can be found at Paper Source. We wanted one more little thing in the bag, and it had to be food related. Since the bags were going to be dropped off a few days prior to the wedding, fresh-baked cookies were out. These Chocolove bars came in the perfect colors to fit our theme, and the packaging is extra lovey dovey.

What did you include in your welcome bags?

  1. Obsessed! These are so, so, so good. I don’t even like chocolate very much, but love Chocolove. All of the details in the bag are perfect. ALSO, how did you do the picture collage? Is that a feature of your theme?

    • oh thank you!! i’m curious what went in yours. i couldn’t really find any local Houston products (i’m sure i could have…but i was not feeling creative at that point!). when i go to upload images, it’s a feature on the left (add new gallery). just found it, and i love it!

      • It’s awesome!! Love that gallery feature. I think your bags are perfect. We did monogrammed boxes with ASP water bottles, Napa Valley Coffee (they made a special 3oz ASP blend!), Ghiradelli chocolate (made in SF… Sort of cheating), Advil, 5-Hour Energy bottles, and the itinerary with our favorite Napa and SF restaurants and vineyards. I wanted more California stuff too, BUT transporting that stuff from Texas for 50 boxes was enough!!!!

  2. these are adorable! we went with denver-themed bags for our out-of-town guests – fat tire, boulder potato chips, luna bars, etc. kind of wish i had snagged one for myself!

Talk to me!
