Murski Homestead B&B Getaway

Since I found out about our tickets just a few days prior to {the game}, I knew I had to book a room immediately. I wasn’t about to spend $300 to stay at a motel in College Station, so instead, I called every bed and breakfast (found on in every small town near College Station. And one place had one room left.

murskiMurski Homestead Bed and Breakfast is run by Pamela. She’s so sweet and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home.

Then, we took in our gorgeous surroundings and breathed the fresh, crisp air while Pamela prepared our dinner.

Pamela used to be a caterer, so she knows how to make unique and flavorful meals. At first, she was hesitant to make dinner for me, since I needed mine to be gluten free, but she ended up accepting the challenge. And everything was delicious! She even left a gluten free lemon cake in our room for dessert.

DSC_0192This was our first stay at a B&B, and E and I were both pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it. Our room was well stocked with everything we needed, it was extremely clean, and the bed was marshmallow comfy. Outside, the grounds were peaceful, and there were plenty of seating areas to enjoy the property at our leisure. And best of all, it was an easy drive to College Station. All in all, it was an excellent weekend getaway.

What about you? Have you stayed at a B&B that you loved?
