How To : Valentine Glitter Letters

Glitter letters are fun for any holiday [or wedding!], and I’m especially loving these for Valentine’s Day! I am so happy with how they turned out. The gold ones were planned. The pink ones were not.

How I made my glitter XOXO letters:

The letters were purchased at Hobby Lobby {they cost $2.47 each} and you can also find them at Paper Source {for a bit more}. I used a foam sponge brush and painted a thin layer of Mod Podge, then sprinkled the gold glitter on top. The X’s were perfect on the first round, and to make sure the glitter stayed put, I painted a top coat of Mod Podge.

The O’s were a different story.

I painted Mod Podge on the O’s, sprinkled the light pink glitter, and waited. Not pleases with the look, I painted a second layer of Mod Podge, sprinkled glitter again, and waited. It just didn’t pop, so I waited until it was completely dry and then painted a coat of pink acrylic paint on top of the glitter. One more round of glitter and it was perfect!
